If you’re like me, when I leave the house I do not want to be worried about my face- you know, whether or not my make-up is flaking, smudging or wearing off.
This is especially important on days when I have long client-facing meetings for work. I like to be 100% focused on the job at hand and not worried at all about my appearance. In fact, on days that I go into the office, I drive 2.5 hours and leave my house at 5 a.m. Once I arrive, my schedule is usually filled with back-to-back meetings and I like to bring my A-game. That means no tired eyes revealing that the baby didn’t sleep and my alarm went off at 4, and it also means no time to reapply make-up between clients.
Whether you’re working 12 hour days with clients or just out and about living your best life, here are some tips and tricks I’ve picked up to keep a full, fresh face all day long.
Prep Your Face
Primer: USE THIS. Using a primer helps get your skin make-up ready by filling in fine lines and smoothing out your pores. It also gives your makeup a base that helps prevent it from fading throughout the day. Use this after you apply your moisturizer.
Hiding tired eyes
Under Eye Concealer/Brightener: Not only will under eye concealer cover those dark circles, but the brightening aspect will help your eyes pop so you look extra awake and chipper. If you do not want to get a brightener, you can simple go lighter on your concealer shade for the same effect.
Setting Spray: This step is so easy and makes a huge difference on the longevity of your make-up. It minimizes cracking and fading and helps keep your make-up in place while you’re going about your day.
