I want to open my blog up more for sharing my favorite recipe creators because I’m loving all you guys who are getting food inspired from my blog. I must say, Clean Eating with a Dirty Mind is my absolute go-to if you are wanting a sweet treat and a healthier spin on your splurge. I highly recommend her!
Anyway, I hope you guys are having a great week!
With the cooler temperatures outside and all the stores lined with their pumpkin-spice everything, I’m ready to dive head first into baking season! Bumi and I went for a lunch break run yesterday, and I loved feeling the chill of the air and seeing everyone out in their hoodies and warmer clothing. As soon as we got back to the house, I knew that life would be better with chocolate chip cookies.
Unfortunately, most of my cook books are still packed from the move, but Vanessa did not let me down and had a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe posted over on her blog. I must admit, I was skeptical at first because the few simple ingredients didn’t seem like they would produce something that would really hit the spot. But I’m telling you guys, I trust this girl with dessert so I tried them anyway.
So two batches of cookies later, they’ve been tested by the whole family- Melissa (River’s nanny) included!
The verdict: I had to make another batch today because after packing some up for Melissa to take home, Adam came home and literally ate the rest of the batch. THE REST OF THE BATCH.
We love them.
I will say, you can definitely taste the almond flour in these cookies, so if you aren’t a fan of almond flour then you may want to keep searching for recipes. However, being almond flour lovers, we gobbled these right up. Adam rates these as a 10 out of 10 on the paleo cookie scale and a 9 out of 10 on the broader cookie scale.
This is a definite “print and keep folded up in the kitchen” recipe for us.
